Where do we work? SCMG works along ~1000km of the South Coast, encompassing the local government areas of Denmark, Albany, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe and Esperance. Particular attention is focused on the 5km coastal area from low water mark landward and seaward to the 3nm State limit.
Where does SCMG meet? SCMG meets five times a year, traveling to the towns of Denmark, Albany, Bremer Bay, Hopetoun and Esperance in each of the member Local Government areas. Observers are welcome and individuals and groups who care for their local patch of the coast are encouraged to attend when the meeting is in their area. Site visits are organised around meetings for members to see first-hand some of the local issues and solutions that local coastal managers and community members are working on.
