In Oct 2010, SCMG convened the Vehicles in the Coastal Zone 2010 Regional Forum in Bremer Bay. Attendees included South Coasters and counterparts from the South West with an interest in developing strategies to respond to concerns about managing vehicles in the coastal zone.

The final SCMG meeting for the year was held the following day, and the WA Coastal Award (which SCMG won for Southern Shores) was passed on to Shire of Jerramungup CEO Bill Parker.

A handful of SCMG members visited the Wellstead Estuary on Fri afternoon and observed the birds and traffic on the sandbar.
